The Cinnamon Queen is a brown-egg sex-link bred for volume, giving 280 to 320 eggs a year from a compact, feed-efficient hen. Chicks sex by down colour at hatch, and the adult hen is a warm reddish-brown, often flecked with white through the neck and tail. Temperament is reliably docile and the birds take confinement well, which is why they turn up in so many first flocks. As with every production hybrid, expect two hard-laying years and then a steeper decline than a dual-purpose bird would show.
